Reward My Staff
Increasingly businesses are becoming aware of the importance
their staff play in the long term success of their enterprise
and staff retention and motivation become critical issues.
Properly rewarded and motivated staff are more likely to
outperform their co-workers and less likely to consider
changing jobs. Non-monetary awards such as time off can
be expensive and difficult to implement fairly across a
workforce whereas merchandise rewards are much more simple
to tie in to performance.
A sales force for example, might have a variety of merchandise
of assorted values, and these products are tied to a particular
level of productivity. Sell X amount of your goods and receive
rewards worth. Consumer electronics are a particularly popular
option when assembling programs of that nature but everything
from adventure experiences to name brand clothing can be
incorporated into a rewards program.
Even if you choose to reward your staff by taking them
to an event of some kind, branded merchandise can play a
big part in ensuring the perceived value and memorability
of an event. A day out at the cricket for example might
include a care pack of a company bucket hat, drink bottle
and a pair of inflatable stadium bangers.
