Create Artwork
For the majority of our clients, creating artwork isn't
an issue as they have corporate guidelines which specify
all of the required details of reproducing the company logo
in a variety of formats. These guidelines generally include
specifications such as PMS, CMYK and RGB colors, acceptable
background colours, 1 colour versions, reverse versions,
exclusion zones, minimum sizes, fonts etc.
There are 3 types of artwork creation:
Creating Artwork from Scratch.
A certain amount of basic graphic design in included with
every order and your account manager will be glad to help
you create something attractive. Truly exceptional artwork
however, requires a graphic artist and is charged at an
hourly rate of $60.
Recreating a logo because the correct file
format isn't available
This happens surprisingly often, generally when the person
who knew where the files were kept no longer work for a
client or the client never received the vector files from
the graphic artist who created them. Sometimes all we have
is a photo of an embroidery or a fax of a business card
It is always best to spend some time trying to get the original
files but where that simply can't be done a logo can be
re-drawn with relative ease. Depending on the complexity
of the logo, this can be done for free or sent to a graphic
artist to redraw generally for a cost of $40-$60. Having
a graphic artist do the re-draw is recommended as you will
then receive a copy of the artwork which you can re-use
in the future for any application.
Creating a Logo from Scratch
A good logo will make a world of difference to a company
and we do not offer a logo creation service. Due to the
consultative way in which logos are created we strongly
recommend using the services of a professional in this area.
Unfortunately, many logo designers create logos that look
fantastic on paper and on the web but are completely impractical
for embroidery, screen printing or engraving. Where possible,
please discuss your artwork as it develops with an account
manager and we can recommend changes that will improve costs,
reproduction fidelity and versatility.
